FAIL: Comedian Jim Norton, staying at the same hotel where Supernatural fans are gathered for Wincon, tweets, "The hotell is full of obese women who blog about ghost stories. Feels more like a herd than a convention. Fat bloggers. Yuck and yuck." Screencap is here in case the asshole deletes it.

Edit, via [info]calicokat, Norton has a history of wanky fannish behavior.

Edit II: is that a Don Imus shirt Norton is wearing here? That explains a lot.

WIN: Awesomesauce that makes up for aforementioned fail: Someone on Twitter dared Traci Dinwiddie to sing "Crazy" like Elmer Fudd:

I find myself in need of some good, old-fashioned emotion porn. Not actual porn that's also emotional, I mean (though god knows, I wouldn't say no to that right now, either.) Just something satisfyingly emotional, you know what I mean?

Like, "In My Time of Dying," which I'm actually watching right now. I'm really missing when Sam & Dean used to be the beginning and the end and everything in-between for each other. I really think we'll get back there by season's end, but. Gah, I miss it right now. :(

I'm kinda sick-ish at the moment, and I need comfort fic. Or comfort episodes. Just comfort, you know? I haven't read fanfic in so long -- I honestly can't tell you the last fanfic I read. It's been months, maybe a year. And now I just really, really need something with emotional payoff.

So, what other eps should I be watching? Can someone suggest awesome fanfic? Videos?

Meanwhile, I'm going to make chicken soup. Comfort food. :)

edit: attempting crossposting. Let's see if it works.

Sean Maher co-starred as Dr. Simon Tam, the sensitive yet determined brother who'd do anything to protect his sister, River. Maher has guest-starred in Ghost Whisperer, CSI: Miami and Drop Dead Diva and starred in the A&E movie Wedding Wars. He is currently working on a romantic comedy called Timing, starring opposite Eureka's Colin Ferguson as his love interest.

From here.

Watching this again and, seriously, if anyone can watch this and not fall in love...I just don't even know what to say. My life is happier with a little Glee in it. :D

So, this is a really old interview with Craig Horner and Bridget Regan, but you've got to watch it for the sheer adorableness factor. Seriously, I want to stick them in my pocket so I can take them out at random times during the day and boggle over how alarmingly charming they are. Craig Horner cannot stop smiling to SAVE HIS LIFE. If nothing else, you MUST watch at about the 4 minute mark. AAAAAHAHAHAHA!

US Merlin fans, mark your calendars for Sunday, June 21 at 8 p.m. NBC has announced that's when they'll start to air the 13-part Merlin, the BBC show about the Camelot-era sorcerer as a young man. From the NBC website's description:

"Merlin" is a new 13-part drama series that updates the story of the infamous sorcerer of Arthurian legend for a new audience in the mythical city of Camelot, in a time before history began. In this fantastical realm, Merlin is a young man gifted with extraordinary magical powers who arrives in the kingdom and quickly makes enemies, including the heir to Uther's crown, the headstrong Prince Arthur. But guided by Uther's wise physician Gaius, Merlin is soon using his talents not just to survive but also to unlock Camelot's mystical secrets.

So, new Battlestar Galactica tonight! I started out this post to whine about how I miss Viper pilot!Apollo and am not that impressed with politician!Apollo, but then...well, this happened:

PETA2-thumb-550x688

...and I got distracted, even though I really don't like PETA (something about them euthanizing 90 percent of the pets they "rescue" seems...well...unethical.) And then, this happened:

untitled

And. Um. Oofah.

25 minutes till we see Dollhouse.

Gah, I'm stressed. I want this to be good -- not just!good, but joss!good. I want to fall in love with characters and recognize the Whedon cadences in the dialog and I want good ratings and and and.

I'm fairly certain it's not normal for the /fans/ to be nervous for a new show. *bites nails*

Dude, I'm watching "Jericho," and the CW's doing one of those annoying watermark ads -- for Supernatural!

...of course, Sunday's their rock-bottom lowest ratings day, so a maximum of 700,000 or so people will see it. But it's the principal of the matter -- they're promoting SPN! Kinda! A little!

Also, I got to see My Bloody Valentine 3-D, yay! Spoilers. )

...Fox has cancelled Prison Break.

I absolutely adore season one Prison Break -- was just rewatching a couple of episodes in the past week, actually. Season two started out well but went downhill fast. By the time the "head-in-a-box" fiasco came around, I was done.

I have to apologize to the non-Supernatural fans on my flist, because I know you're getting innundated with all the OMG SUPERNATURAL TONIGHT posts, and for that I apologize, but...

OMG SUPERNATURAL TONIGHT.

Seriously, people. I just. I'm vibrating out of my seat, here. It's less than 11 hours till we get our boys back, and I MAY NOT SURVIVE THAT LONG.

Has anyone ever died of extreme anticipation? Because I think I may just be the first.

*vibrates more*

Unrelatedly (but still lulz-worthy), this was posted a couple of months ago, but I hadn't seen it until it was linked from a poodle rescue group email:

I has a sweet potato.

On a less-lulzy note, I have yet to receive SPN magazie issue #5. *glares in their general direction*

My tooth doesn't hurt this morning so far! I took Advil this morning, just in case, but so far I've had not even a twinge. *knockwood* Pleaseohpleaseohplease let this continue.

I'm so confused omg, because I checked my blogspot again last night, and on my laptop, running Firefox, the header looks fine! I don't understand how that's possible, when so many of you checked it and saw the same too-long header that I'm seeing here at work. How do I fix something that looks fine on my laptop? Halp!

I'm very amused at that interview that's making the rounds -- the one that says Sera Gamble heard that Kripke wanted to show the first ten minutes of the season 4 premiere at Comic Con (and, btw, I officially HATE all of you who are getting to go to this), but Bob Singer said OH NOES it'd be all over the internet in ten minutes. Thank you, Captain Obvious; we never would've guessed that without your astute observation. ;) And seriously, isn't that the whole point of showing something -- to create online buzz? What's the difference in a few thousand people seeing it at Comic Con and several thousand more seeing it online? WHY YES I'M GRUMPY BECAUSE I WON'T BE THERE WHY DO YOU ASK?

Hey, can someone who's going to CC please find out for sure when the premiere is happening?
